EAST AFRICA READY TO SHINE: CHAN 2025 HOST NATIONS GEAR UP FOR KICK OFF

In just a few weeks, the football world will converge on East Africa as Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania co-host the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025. The seventh edition of the tournament promises to be an exciting showcase of African football talent, with 18 teams competing for the top prize.

As the host nations put the final touches on their preparations, excitement is building across the region. Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania have been working tirelessly to ensure that the tournament is a resounding success.

"We are ready to host a memorable tournament," said Nick Mwendwa, President of the Football Kenya Federation. "Our stadiums, training facilities, and infrastructure are all in top condition. We can't wait to welcome the teams and fans from across Africa."

In Uganda, the Mandela National Stadium has undergone significant renovations to meet the tournament's requirements. "We have worked hard to ensure that our stadium is of the highest standard," said Moses Magogo, President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations. "We are confident that it will provide a fantastic stage for the teams to showcase their skills."

Tanzania, meanwhile, has invested heavily in upgrading its football infrastructure. The Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam has been renovated, and new training facilities have been built. "We are proud to be co-hosting CHAN 2025," said Wallace Karia, President of the Tanzania Football Federation. "We are ready to provide a warm welcome to the teams and fans, and to showcase the best of Tanzanian hospitality."


The CHAN 2025 is not just about football; it's also about promoting tourism, culture, and economic development in the region. The host nations are expecting a significant influx of visitors, which will provide a boost to their economies.


"We expect the tournament to attract thousands of fans from across Africa," said Uganda's Minister of State for Sports, Peter Ogwang. "This will not only showcase our football talent but also promote our tourism industry and provide a boost to our economy."

With the host nations ready, attention now turns to the teams competing in the tournament. Defending champions Senegal will be looking to retain their title, while former winners Morocco, DR Congo, Tunisia, and Libya will be seeking to reclaim their place at the top of African football.


The CHAN 2025 promises to be an exciting and unpredictable tournament, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. As the host nations put the final touches on their preparations, one thing is certain: East Africa is ready to shine on the African football stage.
